While the lively resort of Playa de Las Americas is known for its bars, clubs and restaurants, it is hard to imagine that this is a popular family resort as well. With amazing beaches and their range of watersports to destinations like Siam Park – Tenerife’s massive waterpark – there is plenty to see and do if you are holidaying with the family. If you are lost for places to stay, here are some family friendly hotels for Playa de Las Americas and the surrounding areas.

Gran Oasis Resort

Although it is not near the beach, the facilities, friendliness and general atmosphere of the hotel make it a favourite amongst holidaymakers. Public transport links are located a few steps from the hotel, so you can be at the centre of Playa de Las Americas within minutes. With a playground, children’s pool, and nightly entertainment, you will be guaranteed to find something to keep all ages happy.

H10 Las Palmeras

Located only 500m from the beach, surrounded by lush subtropical gardens and plenty of shops, restaurants and bars, you are spoilt for choice for things to do. And with close proximity to Tenerife’s premier water park, Siam Park, the kids will thank you repeatedly for a brilliant holiday.

Hotel Bitacora

Another central location hotel, a short walk from the beach and near to the famous Safari shopping centre with its designer clothes shops and vibrant atmosphere (if you go at night then you will be presented with a nighttime display of twinkling lights and dancing fountains!). Also with a friendly entertainment team, there are activities young and old will not tire of.

These are just a few hotels that are widely regarded amongst holidaymakers – there are many more places to stay in Playa de Las Americas and all around the island! Check out Canarias.com for a more comprehensive list of places to stay on this amazing island.
